Project UNLVIA - Documenting UNLV Alumni Across America
Three alumni of the Hotel College are making a cross-country journey to document the stories of UNLV alumni. They hope to learn how the experiences of alumni, inside and outside the classroom, helped shape who they are today: your life's journey via UNLV.
It all started when hotel graduate and documentary-maker Apollo Jeon became curious about what UNLV’s alumni were doing after graduation. Online, he found graduates from more than 80 countries. Some work in hotels, hospitals, schools, casinos, and so on. But what he really wanted to know was how has UNLV shaped their lives.
Apollo and a few other graduates are making a trip across North America to meet UNLV alumni. He and his team will be recording interviews with alumni and uploading them to YouTube. Apollo hopes these videos will encourage others – other alumni, students, and future Rebels – to help them envision their career path.
Tell Your Story.
We want to record your story and post online to inspire others!
Apollo’s team will be in Chicago Apr. 27-28, Toronto May 1, Montreal May 2-3, and Quebec City May 4-5. Production will take roughly 10 minutes of your time. Here’s what they are looking for:
- Location – Your place of employment, if possible, but not required
- Length – No more than 2 minutes on camera speaking
- Content - Introduce yourself, talk about your experiences at UNLV, where you are today, your family, the city you live in...
- See a sample video
To participate, contact Apollo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
