For more than 40 years, the UNLV Alumni Association has recognized exceptional individuals who represent the ideals of higher learning and Rebel pride. Through the awards program, the association recognizes alumni, faculty, students, and community leaders for their outstanding achievements and leadership at the university as well as throughout our community. These recipients truly serve as inspiration for the generations of students who will follow.
Fred C. Albrecht Outstanding Alumnus/a of the Year Award
This is the highest and most prestigious award given to an alumnus/a by the association. It is bestowed in recognition of an individual's impact on UNLV through a lifetime of significant contributions made to society in their professional field and through personal achievements. The award is named in memory of Fred C. Albrecht '71, a champion of alumni relations.
Silver State Award
This award of distinction is presented to a nonalumnus/a by the association. It recognizes support to the university and the community at large.
Achievement in Service Award
This award gives recognition for service to UNLV, the UNLV student body, and/or the association in support of Alumni Association-related activities and events.
College Alumnus/a of the Year Award
Recipients of the College Alumnus/a of the Year award have demonstrated a history of outstanding service to UNLV and the community. Additional information is available directly from your college.
Outstanding Faculty Award
Each year, the association recognizes a faculty member for outstanding contributions to the university and community. Nominations are submitted by alumni, students, faculty, college and school deans, and prospective recipients are evaluated based on service, publications, and valued recognition within their respective professional fields. Submission requirements include a cover letter, the nominee's professional vita, and any relevant supporting information.
