Staff Profile: Missy Arendash Provides Outstanding Customer Service
Missy Arendash is the programs and events coordinator for UNLV Alumni Engagement.

Missy Arendash started her career at UNLV in 2014 as a coordinator for events in the Student Union. In 2015, she was recruited to work in the Office of Alumni Engagement and manage alumni events and events held at the Richard Tam Alumni Center. Previously, she served as the conference services coordinator at the University of West Florida for three years.
During her time with Alumni Engagement, she has doubled the number of reservations for the Richard Tam Alumni Center from both on and off-campus clients. She excels at providing a quality meeting and event experience for clients by being attentive, anticipating their needs, and assisting with planning their events.
With alumni-related events, Missy is a pro at creating events that make the Alumni Association and team look great. She has a special passion for creating themes for each activity.
In her spare time, Missy volunteers for UNLV Fraternity and Sorority Life and facilitates a number of retreats and conferences. Her favorite presentation is called, “All Board the Hot Mess Express” which helps instill values of professionalism with up-and-coming leaders.
Missy received a bachelor’s in hospitality, resort, and recreation management and a master’s in education in student affairs administration both from the University of West Florida.
